Ultherapy — a Great Facelift Without the Surgery

Have you ever thought about getting a facelift? Many people have, but they do not want to go through surgery for results. If this is you, Ultherapy might be a great option. It is a nonsurgical and safe ultrasound treatment that can make the face look more youthful and lifted. Ultherapy uses the body’s own regenerative response to gently and gradually lift the skin under the chin, on the neck, on the eyebrow, as well as smooth out wrinkles and lines on the chest.

Ultherapy is the only non-invasive treatment that is approved by the FDA to lift skin. It is also the only cosmetic treatment to use ultrasound imaging. This lets the practitioner view the layers of tissue targeted during the treatment to be sure the energy is placed where it will be of most benefit. Ultherapy is now also the only non-invasive procedure specifically indicated by the FDA to improve wrinkles and fine lines on the chest with the addition of its Decolletage Treatment.

Even though Ultherapy gets to the deep foundational layer that is addressed in cosmetic surgery, it should be known that it won’t provide the same results as a facelift. However, it is an outstanding alternative, particularly for people who do not want surgery or for people who are looking to extend the outcome of their cosmetic surgery.

Ultherapy is different from laser treatments and uses sound energy, which has unique properties that let it bypass the skin’s surface to treat depths that are not treated by any other non-invasive cosmetic device. The ultrasound stimulates the collagen production in the foundation of the skin. This results in a lift of tissue over two to three months. Lasers typically only treat superficial skin and are not FDA-approved to lift the skin.

The length of treatment depends on the area being treated and the patient’s unique treatment plan. A face and neck procedure typically takes and hour to an hour and a half, and a chest treatment takes about 30 minutes. The outstanding thing is that there is no downtime involved with treatment. You can go about your regular daily activities immediately.

Do you think you may be a good candidate for Ultherapy? Schedule a consultation now and we can determine the greatest treatment option for you!
